Over recent months here at Bax Dental we have adapted and modified operating procedures to help keep patients and staff safe. When you next visit the practice, you will notice things may feel different to your usual experience. We would like to advise you of your new ‘Patient Journey’.

Prior to your appointment you will receive a text or email as confirmation of your appointment. This will allow you to follow a link to a portal to access all the forms that we need you to complete prior to your attendance at the practice. Please note that the Health Screening Questionnaire needs to be completed within a 24-hour window of your appointment.

Before visiting us please use your own facilities, make sure you are well hydrated and make sure you have cleaned your teeth. Please avoid bringing unnecessary items and attend on your own where possible.

On arrival at the practice if you wish to wait in your car please call or use the portal to check in online (please also park so you can see the practice front door). If you wish to wait in reception, please come to the door and use the intercom to let a member of staff know you have arrived. The door is locked and a member of staff will let you in. We may ask you to remain in your car or outside if the waiting area is busy as we have limited space due to social distancing.

On entering reception, you will be asked to sanitise your hands. Please note, it is compulsory to wear a face covering (apart from the usual government exemptions). If you do not have one, please make us aware and we can provide one for you.

After your appointment you will be guided to the reception area. Our reception staff will then take payment where applicable and arrange your next appointments.
You will then be asked to sanitise your hands before leaving the practice.

We are trying to create household bubbles for appointments to allow for social distancing.

Patients who fail or cancel appointments at short notice may not be offered another appointment for the foreseeable future.

We are currently booking longer appointments to keep both patients and staff safe. This also allows us extra time for cleaning in between appointments.

If you are in pain or need an emergency appointment, please contact the practice and we will endeavour to see you as soon as possible.

Our staff are currently working extremely hard to accommodate the appointments that were cancelled during lockdown and we appreciate your patience.

We hope that the above reassures you that when visiting us every step has been taken to ensure the safety of you, our colleague’s, and clinicians.

We look forward to welcoming you back to the practice!

Yours sincerely,

Bax Dental Team
