As valued patents at Bax Dental we appreciate you have busy lives which may mean you are not always able to attend your dental appointments. Here at Bax Dental we text and email you reminders of your appointments. Please ensure that we have your correct details for this service. If you do need to cancel, please contacts us within a reasonable time and we will endeavour to rearrange your appointments.
Please note that failure to attend an appointment or giving inadequate notice of cancellation (i.e less than 24hrs) means that we are unable to offer the appointment to other patients and therefore a charge will be incurred. Patients missing or cancelling appointments at short notice may not be offered routine appointments again.
Dental Plan Patients
For those patients that are on the dental plan, if you miss or cancel (less than 48hrs) a routine appointment (i.e. exam, hygienist) you will have to wait until your next routine appointment. If you miss or cancel an appointment for treatment then you will be charged a private fee.
For those patients who pay for their treatment on a pay as you go basis, if you miss an appointment or give less than 24hrs notice you will be charged depending on time of the appointment missed. A further appointment will not be made until the failed charge is settled.
For NHS patients who undertake NHS courses of treatment at the practice, and miss appointments or give less than 24 hours notice on more than 2 occasions, will no longer be offered further appointments. Additionally, patients who do not attend their agreed examination recall may not be offered further appointments under NHS arrangements. The practice has to work strict NHS targets in order to offer NHS treatment. If patients don’t attend then the funding is taken from the practice.
New patients will be asked to pay a £45.00 Non-refundable deposit before booking their first appointment. The deposit will be deducted off future treatment costs.
