Prevention is always better than cure! 🦷 Here Prevention is always better than cure! 🦷 Here at Bax Dental, we are focused on the prevention of dental related issues for our patients; we aim to stop the problem before it starts. In dentistry terms, the best preventative care you can practice at home is to follow an effective oral health routine. Another very good way to help prevent caries is to try cutting down on the frequency of snacking throughout your day - every time you eat something, it causes an acid spike, which is a contributing factor in tooth decay. It is advisable to avoid sugary snacks between your routine mealtimes. Helpful tips from @colgate 🦷 Start brushing as soon as the first tooth appears, twice daily with fluoride toothpaste 🦷 Brushing at bedtime is important as the fluoride continues to protect the teeth while your child is asleep 🦷 Children should have supervised brushing until 7 years of age to ensure teeth are cleaned properly 🦷 Toothpaste amount used varies with age.
