What causes bad breath?
Also known as ‘Halitosis’, bad breath can be a combination of a few factors, for example: poor oral health leading to bacterial growth within the mouth, from plaque and tartar development. Gum disease, diet and social choices such as drinking/smoking can also lead to bad breath; as well as that, dry mouth can also be a contributing component, along with some health conditions such as acid reflux.
Why are my gums bleeding?
Bleeding gums are usually a result of gingivitis.
A good oral care regime should be able to prevent your gums from bleeding if done correctly – our experienced and dedicated hygiene team will be able to recommend a routine best suited to you and provide you with advice to help you maintain a healthy clean mouth.
Pregnancy can also be a reason for increased gum bleeding, due to the change in hormones.
If you are experiencing any gum bleeding related issues, please feel free to give us a call for help.
